Supervision for MTs
Whether you're a newly-minted MT-BC or or seasoned in your practice, you owe it to yourself and your clients to have support navigating client cases, work environments, career next steps, and your relationship to music as both a professional and a musical being. Sessions are sliding scale $50-$80 for an hour virtual and in-office in Durham, NC.
My Approach to Supervision
Similar to my approach to music therapy, my approach to supervision is collaborative, creative, strengths-based, and resource-oriented. There's already so much of what you're doing that is supportive, meaningful, resilient, and resourceful. Let's work together to deepen and strengthen that. Supervision might mean exploring these things. Other times, you may just need to be heard and held and witnessed. I believe in examining the systems that we work within from a critical, ant-oppressive, sociocultural, and feminist perspective. To sustain the work of music therapy practice in this sociopolitical colonial landscape requires a duet of examining power and personally cultivating resilience practices while collaborating in community to challenge the systems in power.
